OCAS Partners With La Cité Collégiale on College-Branded Application
December 2, 2015
GUELPH, ON: In partnership with La Cité collégiale, the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) has announced the production launch of the College-Branded User Interface (CBUI) – a new platform that delivers an entirely college-branded application experience for applicants interested in applying to one program at one college in Ontario.
“We have been very fortunate to work with La Cité on this important project,” says Karen Creditor, CEO of OCAS. “Not only was their spirit of innovation essential in creating this new doorway for applicants, but through their insight and close collaboration, we have also been able to raise the bar on how we meet the needs of our Francophone students.”
CBUI works through one-click links embedded on college program pages. These links launch an interface populated with the college’s logos, colours and select digital assets that persist throughout the application experience, giving applicants the feeling that they’ve never left the college’s own website. On the backend, CBUI is run off the same infrastructure as OCAS’ centralized application to college, which means there are no changes to existing processes and business rules for college partners.
On October 22, La Cité officially launched CBUI on two full-time programs and have now integrated links on their complete January 2016 program intake.
“La Cité is pleased to have participated in this project,” says Stéphane Côté, Director, Office of Admissions and Registrar at La Cité collégiale. “We believe that the prospective student now has a better sense of our college and program choices. The care and accuracy OCAS used in the CBUI design process shows respect towards the customer. Above all, it has simplified the student experience when applying for admission to our college.”
